The Cheyenne Laramie County Public Health Family Planning clinic provides confidential, comprehensive, high-quality family planning and reproductive health services for adults and adolescents of any economic status.

We accept Medicaid and most private insurances, as well as provide services on a sliding fee scale to those who qualify.

Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Family Planning Services

If you have a medical concern outside our clinic’s capabilities, we can refer you to a private physician for follow-up and possible treatment. We can also make referrals to various Laramie County agencies on your behalf for cancer services (breast, cervical and testicular), financial assistance, prenatal care, drug and/or alcohol abuse, and counseling.

Medical

With regards to birth control services: We encourage all new family planning patients to receive instruction on the male and female reproductive anatomy. This instruction covers all contraceptive methods, including their correct use, effectiveness, side effects, possible dangers, and advantages/disadvantages of all methods. Instruction also includes abstinence as a viable alternative.

We accept Medicaid and most private insurances. Proof of insurance must be presented upon check in.

Yes! We provide services on a sliding fee scale based on your family size and income. If your income and family size place you at 100% or below the Federal Poverty Level, services are provided at no cost. For adolescents, income level is based on the adolescent’s income, not their parents’ income. To establish placement on the sliding fee scale, we’ll need to verify your household income. Suggested forms of verification include your most recent tax returns or 3 consecutive paycheck stubs.

Under Title X guidelines, teenagers (13-17 years old) do not need their parents’ permission for healthcare services, including birth control, pregnancy tests, or testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases. We encourage minors to talk with their parents or other trusted adults about their thoughts and feelings about birth control and their visit to a family planning clinic.


Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states: “No person of the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, marital status or income, be excluded from participation, be denied the benefit of, be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

By law, Title X clinics must not perform, promote, or fund abortion as a method of family planning. Title X clinics will offer and provide pregnant clients with neutral, factual information and nondirective counseling on all legal options, including prenatal care and delivery, infant care, foster care, adoption, and pregnancy termination. Clinics must only provide the information and counseling requested by the client.

Cheyenne Laramie County Public Health Family Planning is supported by the Office of Populations Affairs (OPA) and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health (OASH) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of a financial assistance award 1 FPHPA 006541-0-00 totaling $105,540 with 25.64 percent funded by OPA/OASH/HHS and $131,490 with 31.94% percent funded by City/County government funds and $174,600 and 42.42 percentage funded by non-government source(s).
