To protect the waters of Laramie County and the health of the public, Environmental Health specialists complete inspections and provide education and consultations on small wastewater systems that generate less than 2,000 gallons of domestic waste per day. (If you are installing or repairing a system that generates more than 2,000 gallons of waste per day, please contact the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality’s Water Quality Division.)

All small wastewater systems, whether residential or commercial, must be permitted prior to installation, repair or modification.
