Ready. Set. Go! Public Health Hero
April 9 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free
Join the Mission: Become a Public Health Hero!
Calling all junior recruits! Are you ready to earn your “Safety Star”?
Through interactive “missions,” children will learn how to stay prepared, recognize wild weather, and master life-saving safety moves. Whether it’s building an emergency kit or practicing the “Tornado Pose,” every hero will leave with the skills they need to stay safe and happy.
What to Expect:
- The “Ready-to-Go” Mission: Become a Kit Inspector and learn how to pack a special bag for unexpected adventures.
- The Weather Wizard Challenge: Learn how to “puddle jump” through the rain and stay cool when the sun is bright.
- The Safety Superhero Lab: Practice your “Super Moves,” including the Great Escape and the classic Stop, Drop, and Roll.
- Complete your training to receive a prize!
Special Note for Grown-ups: While the kids are training and playing, parents and guardians can pick up an Emergency Plan Template to help the whole family stay prepared at home.
This event takes place at Laramie County Library in the second floor Early Literacy Center.
