Cheyenne Laramie County Public Health and its community partners are currently in the process of developing a Community Health Needs Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan for Laramie County.
Many people think of health as doctor visits and medication, but your overall health is larger than that. What you eat, where you live, how much education you receive, and so many other factors impact how healthy you are.
The Health Needs Assessment provides data on the overall health of the community and identifies problem areas. The Community Health Improvement Plan takes what is considered to be the biggest hurdles in health and provides goals and strategies for improvement.
Through these plans – programs, initiatives, and task forces have been created to better our community.
Laramie County Community Partnership leads the planning process and has been working on the current health assessment and improvement plan since Spring 2024. Final documents will be published in May 2025.
The work in the documents will guide organizations like ours, to give everyone in Larmie County better health outcomes.
A community meeting will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Laramie County Library in the Willow Room.
During the meeting, residents will have an opportunity to:
- Hear initial findings of the Laramie County Health Needs Assessment
- Learn more on how community health leaders decide priorities
- Share opinions on health issues in Laramie County
