The Environmental Health Division at Cheyenne Laramie County Public Health has implemented a phone tree system. A phone tree is an automated service which gives callers a menu of options to choose from to reach their intended party.
The change is meant to improve customer satisfaction by making it easier to contact EH Specialists directly.
“We think this phone tree is going to be a positive experience for the public. The calling process will be streamlined ensuring our customers are getting a quick response and channeled to the correct person who can handle their inquiry.” said Jennifer Escobedo, Environmental Health Director.
The phone tree is now active with the following options:
Option #1 = General Food Inquiries
Option #2 = Mobile or Temporary Food Inquiries
Option #3 = Body Art or Massage Inquiries
Option #4 = Daycare Inquiries
Option #5 = Nuisance or Pool Inquiries
Option #6 = Septic Inspection Inquiries
Option #7 = Property Development Inquiries
Option #8 = Billing Inquiries
Option #9 = General Inquiries
The Environmental Health Division conducts a variety of services to protect community health, including licensing and inspections for food establishments, daycares, schools, pools, body art, massage, and campgrounds. The department reviews proposed development projects considering environmental and health-related impacts. Through our well and septic programs, Environmental Health Specialists complete evaluations on rural properties in Laramie County during the transfer of property ownership. Also, EH specialists issue septic permits and conduct inspections for new septic systems and for existing systems that require repairs or modifications.
Environmental Health hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. The office is closed from noon to 1 pm. To reach Environmental Health, you can call 307.633.4090 or email [email protected]
